Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, low-latency, high-performance backend services.
- Develop distributed and asynchronous systems for reliability and fault tolerance.
- Optimize performance across JVM, databases, caching, and networking layers.
- Apply security best practices when handling client PII and financial transactions.
- Use event-driven architectures and messaging solutions such as Kafka.
- Collaborate with cross-functional security, operations, product, and business teams.
- Maintain code quality through testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Use AI tools for coding assistance, debugging, testing, documentation, and workflow optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in FinTech, banking, or related financial domains.
- Strong understanding of distributed-systems architecture and the client-server model.
- Ability to design and maintain scalable, low-latency, high-performance systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Java Core technologies and the Spring framework.
- Strong knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.
- Proficiency with SQL databases, including performance, structure, and replication considerations.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and Kafka or similar solutions.
- Hands-on experience with operational activities, Kubernetes, pipelines, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, product-led environment.
- Knowledge of JVM performance optimization, NoSQL databases, and in-memory caching is preferred.
