Base Salary
$127k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, engineering, and operation of scalable API, AI, and cloud-native platform solutions.
- Architect and manage enterprise API gateway platforms using Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and Azure API Management.
- Develop and maintain API proxies, shared flows, gateway policies, and GraphQL services.
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code and automation frameworks for platform provisioning, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and self-service deployment capabilities.
- Drive API security, compliance, and governance standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, RBAC, audit logging, and policy-as-code controls.
- Design resilient multi-cloud networking and connectivity solutions including private endpoints, load balancing, disaster recovery, and traffic management.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Six to eight years of relevant experience.
- Expertise in platform engineering, API gateway engineering, and cloud infrastructure in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid/OPDK, including platform architecture, API proxy development, deployment, operations, and performance optimization.
- Advanced knowledge of API security, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, mutual TLS, secure token flows, and threat protection controls.
- Experience with Kubernetes platforms including AKS, EKS, and GKE, containerized applications, and cloud-native architectures.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools including Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
- Strong understanding of networking and traffic management, including DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, load balancing, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, ALB, NLB, and F5 BIG-IP.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, SRE practices, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Datadog.
- Hands-on experience with IAM, Microsoft Entra ID, HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, and enterprise authentication and authorization frameworks.
