Base Salary
$139k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex platform capabilities across multiple products and engineering teams.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable software that improves quality, reliability, and customer experience.
- Own critical subsystems from design through production support and continuous improvement.
- Drive design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and performance engineering.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and development teams on technical roadmaps and product direction.
- Lead technical investigations, performance optimization, and root cause analysis for complex customer issues.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to scalability, security, and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency in Go and Python with a record of delivering production-quality software.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise-grade software.
- Experience designing distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, performance benchmarking, and observability platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or ThousandEyes.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, Linux internals, and performance engineering.
- Experience leading technical design discussions and influencing architecture across multiple engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with Splunk Enterprise, Enterprise Security, ITSI, on-premises or air-gapped deployments, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Kubernetes Operators, distributed storage, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Preferred experience contributing to open-source projects, working directly with enterprise customers, and mentoring across multiple teams.
