Base Salary

$139k - $204k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex platform capabilities across multiple products and engineering teams.
  • Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable software that improves quality, reliability, and customer experience.
  • Own critical subsystems from design through production support and continuous improvement.
  • Drive design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, observability, CI/CD, and performance engineering.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and development teams on technical roadmaps and product direction.
  • Lead technical investigations, performance optimization, and root cause analysis for complex customer issues.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to scalability, security, and developer productivity.

Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in Go and Python with a record of delivering production-quality software.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise-grade software.
  • Experience designing distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, performance benchmarking, and observability platforms such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or ThousandEyes.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, Linux internals, and performance engineering.
  • Experience leading technical design discussions and influencing architecture across multiple engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience with Splunk Enterprise, Enterprise Security, ITSI, on-premises or air-gapped deployments, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Kubernetes Operators, distributed storage, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Preferred experience contributing to open-source projects, working directly with enterprise customers, and mentoring across multiple teams.
