Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer documentation.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality through issue identification, standard operating procedures, and code reviews.
- Enhance existing applications and codebases through recommendations and implementation.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews and investigate relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and customer support to resolve technical issues.
- Mentor less experienced developers and lead project work where applicable.
- Translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- At least 7.5 years of experience is required, including at least 6 years of Java full-stack or Java Enterprise Edition development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented with Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large business environments.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- React experience, Pulsar integration, and Snowflake experience are preferred.
- Experience with software security tools and practices, shell scripting, cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, automation, engineering toolchains, and machine learning technologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
