Responsibilities
- Own features through the full development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Write clean, optimized, maintainable, and reusable code in Java.
- Create technical design documents and review peers’ designs and code.
- Improve test coverage and follow software quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability best practices.
- Participate in testing, monitoring, paging, and incident management.
- Collaborate with the engineering team, contribute to continuous improvement, and mentor less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience working with Java and strong full-stack development experience.
- Experience writing maintainable code, reviewing peer code, and shipping scalable, high-quality software features.
- Strong operational excellence practices, including testing, monitoring, paging, and incident management.
- Sound judgment in making design tradeoffs and improving code quality, test coverage, performance, and maintainability.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
