Responsibilities

Contribute across implementation, delivery, maintenance, testing, debugging, and other stages of the software development lifecycle.
Write clean and efficient production code for the services powering Greenhouse.
Develop new products and features in collaboration with engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
Work independently in the codebase, identify refactoring opportunities, and help drive projects to completion.
Review peers’ code, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to code quality.
Participate in pair programming and communicate technical processes clearly through documentation.

At least 2 years of experience contributing production code.
Experience contributing to projects and helping drive them to completion.
Experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python; Ruby is preferred.
Direct experience with AI and agentic software development, including Claude Code or Codex.
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals, including React.
Experience working across the full stack.
Proficiency with architectural patterns and REST/web development.
Experience partnering closely with Product and Design teams.
Experience with Rails is preferred.
Experience with authorization and permissions is a plus.
