Responsibilities

  • Design and develop MES solutions, modules, templates, components, interfaces, and responsive web applications.
  • Maintain existing capabilities and build applications hosted on-premise or in the cloud.
  • Gather requirements and determine technical solutions for business needs.
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server stored procedures, functions, relational databases, and related code.
  • Integrate MES with internal and external applications and ERP systems using middleware.
  • Implement new manufacturing capabilities and support shop-floor systems.
  • Apply engineering standards, meet agreed timelines, and ensure quality metrics are achieved.
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate independently and with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with GE Plant Applications.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, performance tuning, and database design.
  • Experience with .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET, Web API, and Windows Services.
  • Understanding of REST and/or SOAP web services.
  • Experience with UI design and technologies including HTML, ThingWorx, and ReactJS.
  • Hands-on experience with reporting capabilities such as SSRS and Power BI.
  • Experience integrating MES with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop-floor systems.
  • Experience designing and optimizing relational databases and stored procedures for performance and maintainability.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
