Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate high-reliability distributed platforms for machine learning, natural language processing, and LLMs.
- Create, debug, interpret, and improve production machine learning and natural language processing models.
- Build tools and validation processes that translate insights into action at scale.
- Use commercial and open-source tools to create a robust production platform.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to ensure the ML, NLP, and LLM platform provides value.
- Document, iterate, and provide tutorials so data scientists can use the tools effectively.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering roles in technology-enabled companies; healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Python, Python data science libraries including NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, and deploying Python applications into production.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing and/or LLMs.
- Strong foundation in feature engineering, feature selection, and machine learning techniques.
- Experience interpreting, modifying, and debugging inputs and outputs of production ML, NLP, and LLM models.
- Experience building and refactoring complex distributed systems, especially ML, NLP, and LLM systems.
- Experience scaling the impact of engineers and data scientists through mentorship, reusable libraries, and documentation.
