Responsibilities

  • Support the IBCS System Team, Agile development environment, and Continuous Delivery Pipeline for multiple software baselines.
  • Collaborate with software, systems, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to improve end-to-end delivery workflows.
  • Communicate technical issues, options, impacts, priorities, and commitments to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify roadblocks, track actions, coordinate work across teams, and drive issues through closure.
  • Apply DevOps concepts and best practices while performing both hands-on technical and coordination work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in a STEM field with 0 years of experience for the Software Engineer level.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD concepts and implementation, including virtualized environments, containerization, and container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible playbooks, Ansible Automation Platform, Jenkins or similar CI/CD automation tools, and Sonatype Nexus or similar artifact repository managers.
  • Proficiency in Linux-based development and runtime environments and modern configuration management and source control tools including Git and GitLab.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification, active Secret Clearance, ability to maintain the clearance, and U.S. citizenship.
  • Preferred qualifications include Python automation, CI/CD in classified or highly controlled environments, test-bench and benchmarking pipelines, CI/CD requirements and user stories, and familiarity with Scrum or SAFe.
  • Principal Software Engineer qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in STEM with at least 5 years of relevant experience, a master’s degree with 3 years, or a PhD with 0 years.
