Base Salary
$171k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning, deep learning, and large language models for business use cases.
- Build and maintain scalable ML, feature, and data pipelines for training, deployment, inference, and production monitoring.
- Perform feature engineering, data validation, and preprocessing across large and complex datasets.
- Prototype and evaluate generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic AI techniques.
- Integrate models and AI services into applications through APIs while optimizing performance, latency, and cost.
- Implement testing, evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and controls for drift, bias, degradation, responsible AI, and model risk.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through design, implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Create technical documentation, mentor junior engineers, and provide code review support.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML/AI models in production settings.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, relational databases, and Linux.
- Experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, SmartSDK, pandas, and NumPy.
- Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, model evaluation, optimization, generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, embeddings, and RAG.
- Experience with MLOps, Docker, Kubernetes, model versioning, MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, and internal cloud environments including Gaia and GKP.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP and its ML services.
- Experience with version control, testing, code review, API design, GenAI Gateway services, and Phoenix integrations for telemetry, evaluation, and cost analysis.
- Preferred experience with vector databases, agentic AI frameworks, LLM evaluation methodologies, responsible AI, model risk management, regulated-industry AI deployment, or Spark.
