Base Salary
$125k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Monitor production telemetry across bare-metal RHEL servers, Amazon EKS clusters, and AWS environments and respond to high-priority alerts.
- Troubleshoot logs with Elasticsearch and Kibana, investigate root causes, coordinate incident bridges, and document post-incident reviews.
- Administer bare-metal Linux systems, including hardware diagnostics, network bonding, RAID, storage, kernel, and lifecycle operations.
- Perform vulnerability remediation, system hardening, access control, and security operations aligned with FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIG, and FIPS 140 requirements.
- Operate AWS infrastructure, EKS clusters, secure load balancers, ingress controllers, networking, and Terraform-based infrastructure changes.
- Execute and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Helm, and Kustomize deployment workflows.
- Maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures, post-mortems, and automation scripts.
- Participate in scheduled day, evening, night, weekend, holiday, primary on-call, and secondary on-call rotations.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required due to FedRAMP and AWS GovCloud security requirements.
- Requires 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, systems administration, or hybrid infrastructure support.
- Requires availability and capability to work a 24/7 rotational schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires strong experience administering bare-metal RHEL servers, including IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, RAID, LVM, and physical NIC bonding.
- Requires direct Kibana and Elasticsearch experience, including KQL/Lucene queries, index management, and log pattern analysis.
- Requires practical experience with L4/L7 secure load balancing, NLB, ALB, ingress controllers, mTLS, TLS termination, health checks, and secure traffic routing.
- Requires operational experience with AWS EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, KMS, AWS GovCloud, Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, kubectl, and Helm.
- Requires experience with Prometheus, PromQL, Alertmanager, Grafana, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, Slack, and ChatOps operations.
- Requires understanding of FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, vulnerability patching, and DISA STIG hardening.
- Preferred qualifications include Python or Bash automation, Terraform, RHCSA or RHCE certification, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator certification, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification.
