Responsibilities
- Support and improve development and production infrastructure for more than 15 development teams and multiple products.
- Help developers troubleshoot technical issues across multiple technology stacks and environments.
- Improve server monitoring, alerting accuracy, proactive issue detection, and incident response processes.
- Architect and plan improvements in a multi-datacenter development environment.
- Research and prototype technologies and help teams migrate services to automated and elastic cloud, Kubernetes, and serverless infrastructure.
- Document processes, monitor performance metrics, promote CI/CD practices, and support infrastructure as code.
- Collaborate with DevOps colleagues to provide infrastructure support, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working in DevOps or Systems Administration with Linux environments.
- Knowledge of infrastructure scalability patterns for high-traffic systems and experience with at least one major cloud provider.
- Familiarity provisioning servers, virtual machines, and services with VMware or an equivalent technology.
- Ability to debug intricate issues with developers and work with command-line tools, scripting, web servers, and load balancers.
- Experience managing highly available database clusters and cache systems.
- Understanding of networking and web hosting or delivery infrastructure, including DNS, HTTPS, and WAF.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery models and best practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes, configuration management or orchestration tools such as Puppet, and monitoring processes and tools.
- Advanced Elasticsearch or MySQL experience, GitLab server administration, and Kubernetes deployment experience across major cloud providers and on-premises environments are preferred.
- Self-sufficiency, strong communication, and effective time management skills.
