Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Java backend services, batch processes, and APIs while contributing to UI components as needed.
- Own end-to-end delivery across implementation, testing, deployment, observability, reliability, and iteration.
- Write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations partners to translate business needs and product strategy into technical solutions.
- Improve system performance, security, and resilience through engineering best practices and automation.
- Contribute to a learning, inclusive team culture through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Demonstrate hands-on AI-assisted development using modern tools and IDEs such as Windsurf.
- Have a solid understanding of programming concepts and microservices.
- Be proficient in Java and Spring.
- Have experience with CI/CD, automated testing using JUnit or Spock, and containers using Docker.
- Be familiar with observability and telemetry tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics, as well as cloud deployments.
- Show curiosity about the business domain and the ability to translate product strategy into technical solutions.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence, industrial placement or internship experience, open-source contributions, and self-initiated innovative projects are particularly valued.
