Responsibilities
- Own parts of product and technology and strive to become a subject matter expert.
- Write simple and extendable code following standards and best practices.
- Design software components with simplicity and maintenance as key considerations.
- Participate in code reviews and foster a collaborative review culture.
- Document software to ensure future developers understand the features and components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects effectively.
- Provide excellent customer support.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in writing scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems and APIs using Java.
- Good grasp of relational and non-relational databases, messaging queues, and concurrency.
- Understanding of modern architectures, design patterns, and platform nuances.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with testing concepts and integrating testing in the SDLC.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
