
Software Test Automation Engineer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain software test automation frameworks for AML Transaction Monitoring applications.
- Create Databricks workflows and jobs to schedule and run automated test suites.
- Perform large-volume data validation using Python, PySpark, and SQL queries.
- Design scalable technical frameworks and data-processing systems that optimize storage and performance.
- Create automated and manual functional test cases and acceptance-test criteria for application enhancements.
- Conduct ETL/DWH, Hadoop big-data, and application testing while troubleshooting and researching errors.
- Work with developers and QA teams to extend custom test harnesses and improve testing processes.
- Collaborate with users and developers to define projects for proprietary financial applications.
- Support Agile ceremonies and serve as an Agile Scrum Master when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in software test automation solutions using cloud or big-data technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and Scala, Spark, Databricks, or AWS.
- Experience creating objects and methods and hand-coding test scripts with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of reusable coding patterns and object-oriented paradigms applied to automated testing.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/DWH testing, SQL analytical functions and complex queries, SQL Developer, and TOAD.
- Knowledge of Spark and Scala, Hive/Impala, or Python, plus Hadoop big-data testing experience.
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver or Python for test automation frameworks.
- Experience with JIRA, X-Ray, HP ALM, or RTC and understanding of Agile methodology and ceremonies.
- Knowledge of writing Spark SQL queries for data analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
