Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including design, development, code review, documentation, testing, and production support.
Design, develop, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database objects for scalable enterprise applications.
Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning using execution plans, AWR/ASH reports, SQL Trace, and Oracle performance statistics.
Develop and maintain Java backend components and contribute to full-stack application enhancements and database integration.
Work with Oracle partitions, indexes, external tables, SQL*Loader, collections, analytic functions, and bulk-processing techniques.
Troubleshoot complex production issues involving Java applications, Oracle databases, and Unix/Linux environments.
Develop Unix Shell and Python scripts for deployment, automation, and batch processing.
Set up and maintain development and test environments, database configurations, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders, prepare technical documentation, perform unit testing, and provide effort estimates.
Support high-quality delivery, data integrity, performance, scalability, coding standards, version control, and code reviews.
Provide technical leadership and team management as project demand requires.

6–8 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying enterprise-level, data-centric applications using Oracle technologies.
Strong Oracle PL/SQL programming expertise, including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, collections, and advanced SQL.
Hands-on experience with SQL performance tuning, PL/SQL optimization, execution-plan analysis, SQL Trace, and Oracle AWR/ASH reports.
Experience with Oracle partitions, analytic functions, external tables, SQL*Loader, and bulk-processing techniques.
Experience building and maintaining enterprise Java applications, especially backend services, database integration, and multi-tier architectures.
Basic understanding of Python scripting and experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
Strong understanding of Oracle Database Architecture and Oracle optimizer concepts.
Relevant tertiary qualification such as B.E. in CS/IT/ECE, B.Tech, M.E., M.Tech, or MCA.
Familiarity with service-oriented architectures and SOAP/REST web-service integration is preferred.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with PostgreSQL or other relational database platforms is preferred.
Exposure to Java-based environments, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
