Responsibilities

  • Build, prototype, and deploy production software features for Sigma’s analytics product
  • Learn how large single-page applications are built and extended with attention to user experience
  • Work with backend systems that scale across multiple customers and billions of data points while protecting user information
  • Own development projects from ideation through implementation and incorporate feedback
  • Develop automated unit tests and achieve relevant code coverage
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, product owners, technical writers, and users
  • Optimize the performance of one or more product components
  • Use customer metrics and feedback to inform development decisions and improve the Sigma user experience

Requirements

  • Recent graduate within the last 12 months with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Able to begin a three-month temp-to-hire role in May 2025 or thereafter
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of operating systems, data structures, and algorithms
  • Intermediate to advanced grasp of at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Interest in building complex user interfaces, data visualizations, or backend systems
  • Able to collaborate effectively, communicate, manage projects, and own tasks end to end with minimal supervision
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available
  • Able to work in person in San Francisco or New York City for 40 hours per week over 12 weeks
