Base Salary

$127k - $181k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, unit test, document, and maintain software across multiple programming languages and Linux, Windows, and embedded platforms.
  • Support software modeling, simulation, integration, and testing activities.
  • Develop and present technical concepts, tradeoffs, analyses, designs, and performance estimates.
  • Participate in the full software product lifecycle, including development, prototyping, integration, verification, delivery, and support.
  • Participate in technical reviews and status meetings and collaborate with internal and possibly external stakeholders.
  • Follow company standard operating procedures and Quality System requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 6+ years of similar experience.
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, Linux/Unix shells, MATLAB, Eclipse, GNU development tools, Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Visual Studio, Arduino, SVN, Git, and Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with software design methods, configuration control, design tradeoffs, analyses, and requirements specification.
  • Strong software product development, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, teamwork, and independent execution abilities.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally, depending on project needs.
  • Prior U.S. defense program experience is highly desirable; naval, marine, robotic systems, and bare-metal embedded software experience is a plus.
