Responsibilities
- Design and build systems for fraud detection and remediation at scale.
- Balance fraud loss, implementation cost, and customer experience when developing protections.
- Operate backend and data systems supporting real-time detection, investigation workflows, and enforcement.
- Collaborate with Finance, Security, Product, Research, Trust & Safety, and operations teams to combat fraudulent and abusive actors.
- Monitor emerging adversary techniques and strengthen defenses against fraud and abuse.
- Use GPT-5 and future models to improve fraud and abuse prevention.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with backend and data systems.
- At least 2 years of experience in fraud or abuse analysis, investigation, and/or operations.
- Ability to understand unfamiliar codebases end-to-end and propose pragmatic engineering improvements.
- Strong inclination to learn missing skills and communicate knowledge clearly and concisely.
- Comfort working in ambiguous and rapidly changing conditions.
- Machine learning experience is a plus but not required.
