Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack software applications.
- Architect and implement application components, APIs, integrations, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Build front-end and back-end solutions for web and mobile applications across Android, iOS, and Windows.
- Integrate third-party platforms, internal systems, and AI/ML or LLM-based service endpoints.
- Improve application quality, reliability, maintainability, performance, logging, observability, and operational stability.
- Use automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and production support practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, analysts, data and AI teams, technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Perform solution design, technical analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
- Support secure software development, access control considerations, internal standards, and responsible coding practices.
- Work with relational and NoSQL data stores and efficient data access patterns.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of the AI-driven Software Development Lifecycle.
- Maintain knowledge of full-stack development, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled software capabilities.
- Comply with ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System requirements and internal policies.
Requirements
- A degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Eight years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience with web and mobile application development for Android, iOS, and Windows.
- UI experience with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and preferably Svelte/SvelteKit; React, Vue, or Angular experience is acceptable.
- Server-side experience with Go and/or Python with FastAPI; Node, .NET, or Java API experience is acceptable.
- Experience with Cosmos DB and/or PostgreSQL; Kafka, Redis, or blob storage experience is a plus.
- Azure and Entra ID experience preferred, with equivalent cloud and SSO experience welcome.
- Experience with LLM/RAG work, Tailwind, Vite, and event-driven services.
- Strong knowledge of full-stack development, application architecture, API design, system integration, and service-based architecture.
- Experience deploying cloud-based applications using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with automated testing, source control, CI/CD pipelines, release management, observability, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, containerization, and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and integrating or consuming AI/ML or LLM-based APIs and services.
- Understanding of software security principles and responsible development practices.
- Experience troubleshooting technical and application issues and identifying practical improvements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, independent work, and delivery skills.
- Feature flagging, experimentation, or A/B testing framework experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System.
