Responsibilities
- Deploy, operate, and optimize Defender Vulnerability Management to identify, prioritize, and reduce technical exposure.
- Architect and manage Defender for Cloud Apps integrations for SaaS governance, anomalous behavior detection, and control of unsanctioned applications.
- Own the architecture and operational health of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint cloud capabilities.
- Build security posture monitoring tools, compliance reporting frameworks, and automated posture remediation.
- Lead telemetry pipelines between Microsoft Defender, Cloud Apps, and centralized monitoring tools such as Sentinel and ServiceNow.
- Create executive dashboards and risk-trend insights using KQL and API data feeds.
- Design cloud access policies, sanction SaaS applications, and maintain vulnerability-management exception tracking.
- Lead complex security engineering projects and guide operational teams through security posture changes.
- Automate security checks, vulnerability ticketing workflows, and cloud app policy adjustments.
- Maintain scan and telemetry coverage, platform uptime, event ingestion reliability, and measurable exposure reduction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience focused on cloud-delivered endpoint protection, CASB, and exposure management platforms.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating unified Microsoft Defender security stacks across cloud and hybrid client estates.
- Deep technical expertise in cloud-delivered security solutions, exposure management, CASB architecture, API integrations, and threat-vector analysis.
- Expertise with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Defender Vulnerability Management, Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Sentinel integration, and security posture management tools.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale security tooling platforms, maintaining API connections, and delivering against operational SLAs.
- Strong data-analysis skills using KQL and API data feeds.
- Experience using CVSS, EPSS, and asset business context to prioritize exposure remediation.
- Experience designing cloud access policies, governing SaaS applications, and managing vulnerability exceptions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud operations, networking, and IT operations teams.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Governance Administrator Associate (SC-400), SC-200, CISSP, or CCSP are highly desirable.
