Responsibilities
- Perform advanced system analysis, application and database design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.
- Translate technical specifications into code for complex application projects and integrate third-party products, data sources, APIs, and services.
- Lead backend optimization for performance, scalability, responsiveness, resilience, security, and data protection.
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend interfaces that support intuitive web experiences.
- Create and maintain detailed backend architecture and logic documentation.
- Deploy code through development, test, and production environments and manage change-control documentation.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections and resolve elevated technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal clients to understand business and technology needs.
- Train and mentor less-experienced staff and communicate technical considerations to varied audiences.
- Ensure deliverables comply with enterprise technology, development architecture, information technology, and information security standards.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a master’s degree/diploma in Computer Science.
- Expertise in server-side development, system integration, API management, database design and optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Angular Material, AngularJS, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS.
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation, ECS, Fargate, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, EC2, and SQS.
- Experience with SQL queries, GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, Splunk, and Honeycomb.
- Knowledge of software testing and development practices including TDD/BDD, as well as Agile, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, interact with senior executives and clients, mentor colleagues, and continuously learn new technologies.
