Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for AI in engineering data, simulation, CAD/CAE, design automation, and technical workflows.
- Evaluate data quality, system interfaces, APIs, integration requirements, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with AI specialists, digital teams, engineering subject matter experts, and external technical resources to define solutions.
- Develop prototypes and technical proof-of-concepts for AI-enabled engineering initiatives.
- Lead deployment of AI agents, workflow automation solutions, and engineering productivity tools.
- Drive solution validation, testing, deployment, adoption, and reusable engineering enablement approaches.
- Coach engineering teams on practical AI applications and promote AI-enabled engineering methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional-level experience.
- Hands-on experience with CAD, CAE/simulation, PLM, engineering data management, or digital engineering workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Python scripting and engineering workflow automation.
- Practical experience applying AI, automation, or digital technologies to engineering or business problems.
- Experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, or workflow automation is preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering data structures, digital engineering workflows, system interfaces, APIs, data access, and integration dependencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an interest in AI-enabled engineering transformation.
