Responsibilities

Build extremely large-scale platform products and services for Roku engineers and consumers.
Collaborate with Product/Design teams to iterate and deploy software from concept to production.
Lead technology evaluations and advocate for best practices in development.
Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Participate in the Agile development process, including scoping, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.

Strong software development experience, preferably in Java (Python is a plus).
Expertise in building large-scale cloud services, ideally in AWS.
Experience in selecting appropriate data stores and analyzing trade-offs.
Familiarity with in-memory caching layers such as Redis or Memcached.
Proven track record of monitoring deploy quality and troubleshooting production systems.
Strong knowledge of end-to-end web architecture.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
