Responsibilities

  • Support software and test design processes while applying DFT principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Support software and test workstreams in NPI projects from build readiness through customer delivery.
  • Define and implement processes for firmware programming, product configuration, calibration data handling, and version control in production builds.
  • Develop and document automated test processes for new products and assemblies.
  • Design automated electromechanical test systems with mechanical and electronics engineers to improve production throughput and product quality.
  • Improve manufacturing readiness by streamlining production test and build times.
  • Provide hands-on support during NPI builds and troubleshoot software, automation, and hardware-integrated system issues within the ECN framework.
  • Support non-conformance investigations and product quality improvements with the quality department.
  • Help establish standards and processes for the new NPI team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing software tools for production testing and process automation.
  • Strong experience with C#, WPF, and MVVM.
  • Understanding of software release processes and configuration control.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues involving embedded hardware-integrated systems.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and releasing it through a controlled change management system.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Desirable experience includes supporting NPI from prototype through volume manufacture, using embedded firmware programming tools, and working with manufacturing test systems, calibration workflows, and automation frameworks.
  • Desirable programming experience includes LabVIEW and C/C++; additional desirable experience includes engineering change control, ISO9001 environments, traceability, thermal imaging or real-time embedded systems, and designing jigs, fixtures, tooling, or electronic test equipment.
