Base Salary
$144k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build automated unit, API, and UI test suites using Python, pytest, and Playwright.
- Develop hardware-in-the-loop tests against real and simulated robotics hardware and integrate them with simulation and digital-twin systems.
- Define verification and validation processes and test plans mapping requirements to coverage across software and hardware boundaries.
- Test internal dashboards and orchestration UIs used to operate the factory.
- Perform regression and reliability testing to isolate flakiness and maintain high-quality test signals.
- Create test fixtures and manage test data to make results reproducible and failures diagnosable.
- Embed tests into GitHub Actions or similar pipelines and collaborate with platform, simulation, and human-factors engineers.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in software testing or QA automation for complex, integrated systems.
- Hands-on Python automation experience with pytest and a modern UI framework such as Playwright.
- Experience defining verification and validation processes, test plans, and layer-appropriate coverage.
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and maintaining fast, stable test suites.
- Experience testing across service, UI, and hardware boundaries, including nondeterministic behavior.
- Strong cross-functional communication and ability to communicate technical risk clearly.
- Vitest or Jest experience is a plus.
- Hardware-in-the-loop, robotics, lab automation, simulation, digital-twin, test-data management, fixtures, or large-suite reporting experience is preferred.
- V&V experience in aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare, or life sciences and exposure to GAMP 5, FDA CSA, 21 CFR Part 11, or DO-178C are preferred.
