Responsibilities
- Architect and implement distributed systems for network-level security controls, including policy management, ACL enforcement, distributed firewalls, and DDoS and network protection.
- Develop microservices for network security platforms at cloud infrastructure and distributed platform levels.
- Research and implement networking security solutions for intra-region and cross-region network flows.
- Build, deploy, monitor, maintain, and operate security platforms in a full DevOps model.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering quality.
- Use AI development tools and prompt engineering to produce secure, optimized, production-grade software.
- Design systems in which AI agents integrate with human workflows and maintain shared system context for reliable AI operation.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software development experience in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS.
- At least 2 years of experience in a high-availability, 24/7 environment; cloud platform experience is a plus.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Proficiency in Go, Java, C++, or Python.
- A genuine AI-first engineering approach and experience using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create precise prompts and reliable system context.
- Preferred experience with network security platforms, including segmentation, ACLs, and DDoS protection.
- Preferred experience with cloud network architecture, cloud security services, container networking, service mesh, networking protocols, authentication frameworks, secure transport, identity management, and DevOps operations.

- The stated typical base salary range is $117,200-$176,700 annually; select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas have a stated range of $141,200-$194,200 annually.
