Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage secure, scalable containerized applications on AWS.
- Design and implement solutions using Kubernetes/EKS, ECS, and Fargate.
- Apply IAM policies, VPC configurations, network policies, and secure secrets management to meet security and compliance requirements.
- Develop reusable infrastructure automation using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Design automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AWS container services and advise teams on secure cloud operations.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and incident response for containerized applications using CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Collaborate with architecture leadership, the EKS team, government stakeholders, and clients.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in AWS cloud architecture, with a strong background in government or public-sector projects.
- Advanced expertise in AWS EC2, VPC, IAM, and Route 53, including secure VPC design, subnetting, and IAM policy management.
- Hands-on Kubernetes/EKS experience covering cluster management, security policies, and multi-tenant environments.
- Experience deploying containerized applications on ECS and Fargate.
- Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure automation tools, plus CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Active SC and NPPV3 clearance, or the willingness and ability to obtain both clearances.
- Familiarity with GDPR, ISO27001, NCSC guidelines, and public-sector compliance controls.
- Knowledge of monitoring and centralized logging solutions for high-security environments, including CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder presentation skills.
