Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, cloud-based Angular applications integrating live data streaming and storage services.
- Build or review backend REST APIs and maintain well-defined API contracts.
- Lead junior engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring.
- Collaborate with UX designers and distributed cross-functional teams to deliver responsive user interfaces.
- Optimize frontend performance using Angular best practices and Core Web Vitals metrics.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on GCP using CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct unit, functional, and system testing in collaboration with automation engineers.
- Contribute to requirements, design, architecture, defect, and test documentation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve application reliability.
- Apply advanced engineering principles, mentor others, and use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
- Create implementation estimates and participate in software development lifecycle and application lifecycle management processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- 6–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Expert-level Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, and API development experience.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud-based applications, preferably on GCP.
- Proficiency across the application stack, including frontend, server-side technology, databases, application security, and DevOps.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehouses, RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, and Scala.
- Experience with testing frameworks, GitLab, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with software development lifecycle processes and application lifecycle management or traceability tools.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, independent-work, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Experience with Kafka and GCP Pub/Sub is preferred but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of agentic development tools such as Cursor is an added advantage.
