Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document Java-based real-time library features.
- Implement software from requirements and provide time and complexity estimates.
- Build unit tests, review QA test plans, and perform validation and verification testing.
- Develop and maintain clean, efficient tools and applications while automating tasks through scripting and appropriate tools.
- Review and debug code, collaborate with internal teams and vendors, and work with support teams to isolate and resolve product issues.
- Document development phases, monitor systems, and keep software aligned with current technologies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree is required.
- Proven senior software engineering experience with extensive software development experience, primarily in Java or C++ with basic Java.
- Experience with low-level network communication, socket programming, TCP/IP, and UDP multicast protocols.
- Knowledge of GitLab, GitHub, or another source control system, along with Jira and Agile methodology.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and strong analytical, organizational, and independent-working skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scripting, additional programming languages, and large-scale deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform is preferred.
- Exposure to AI for optimizing development tasks is a plus.
