Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time library features primarily in Java.
- Produce, test, debug, validate, and verify software based on specified requirements.
- Develop associated technical documentation and document development phases.
- Estimate implementation time and complexity for software features.
- Build unit tests, review QA test plans, and ensure strong test coverage.
- Develop and maintain tools and applications using clean, efficient code and automate tasks through scripting and appropriate tools.
- Review and debug code, monitor systems, and keep software current with relevant technologies and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and support teams to diagnose issues and improve products.
- Work independently with limited supervision while collaborating with local and remote development teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree is required.
- Extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer, primarily in Java or alternatively in C++ with basic Java.
- Experience with low-level network communication, socket programming, TCP/IP, and UDP multicast network protocols.
- Knowledge of GitLab, GitHub, or another source control system, as well as Jira.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to work independently with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and scripting is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Python, C#, Ruby, R, Go, Node.js, or Perl is a plus.
- Knowledge of large-scale deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, or Terraform is a plus.
- Exposure to AI for optimizing development tasks is a plus.
