Responsibilities
- Build automation, tools, and applications to improve engineering and operational workflows.
- Support and optimize large-scale cloud, data, and backend systems.
- Develop and manage continuous integration, continuous delivery, and build/release processes.
- Monitor systems and investigate issues using log-mining, metrics, and visualization tools.
- Administer Linux and UNIX systems, harden operating-system images, and manage container services.
- Support NoSQL, Zookeeper, Spark, and Mesos releases and management.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in engineering, cloud engineering, or as a software engineering staff member.
- Strong programming and scripting fundamentals in Python and Bash.
- Experience with modern web-services architectures and cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
- Experience with source-control systems such as Git and SVN.
- Linux fundamentals, UNIX system administration, and operating-system image hardening experience.
- Hands-on experience with log-mining frameworks such as Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, and Loki.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, NoSQL, Zookeeper, Spark, and Mesos.
- In-depth knowledge of build and release systems and processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach to automation.
