Base Salary

$58k - $105k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop microservices and distributed services for the L-CAP platform under senior developer guidance.
  • Write unit, integration, contract, and other automated tests to support software quality.
  • Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, troubleshooting, debugging, and technical documentation.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven messaging systems within the data mesh architecture.
  • Use CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deploy software.
  • Navigate complex multi-service codebases and support modernization of legacy air traffic control systems.
  • Collaborate with testers, systems engineers, DevOps personnel, and other cross-functional team members.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • 0–2 years of experience and proficiency in at least one of Java or C++.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, distributed systems, and microservice architecture.
  • Experience writing automated tests in continuous integration environments.
  • Experience with Git and familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully complete required government background investigations.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with willingness to learn new technologies and domain concepts.
  • Preferred qualifications include Python, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, SQL, NoSQL databases, AI-assisted development tools, legacy system modernization, or aviation and safety-critical software experience.
