Responsibilities
- Design and build durable engineering systems that reduce complexity and increase developer velocity.
- Identify architectural risks and opportunities and partner with leadership to address them.
- Solve high-impact problems involving low latency, correctness, performance, reliability, and scale.
- Lead development and adoption of key frameworks and uphold strong coding and design-review practices.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into production-ready technical roadmaps with Product, Science, and Operations.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence across the organization.
- Develop and operate ML infrastructure, data pipelines, distributed workflows, and large-scale job scheduling systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing ML models to solve business problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience developing foundational models or large language models for user-facing, marketplace, recommendation, ad-tech, or e-commerce systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and the systems and infrastructure required to train and serve them.
- Proven MLOps and ML infrastructure experience, including Kubernetes, data pipeline design, distributed workflow systems, and large-scale job scheduling.
- Preferred experience owning distributed backend systems end-to-end in high-availability production environments.
- Strong understanding of trade-offs among consistency, availability, latency, and operational cost.
- Exceptional communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
