Base Salary
$157k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain core components of the clearing house in Go on GCP.
- Take ownership of ambiguous problems and specific features or subsystems.
- Work closely with staff and principal engineers to implement scalable architectural patterns.
- Write backend systems that handle unstructured data inputs and produce structured outputs.
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to incident response.
- Become a go-to engineer for core subsystems, leading multi-engineer efforts.
- Review code and provide feedback to improve the team's engineering standards.
- Contribute infrastructure-as-code and operational tooling using Terraform and GCP-native tools.
Requirements
- Solid backend engineering foundation with experience in shipping and maintaining production systems.
- Strong Go engineering skills and experience with GCP and Terraform.
- Ability to navigate unstructured data problems with a methodical approach.
- Experience in a team that prioritizes operational excellence.
- Capable of scoping and driving features independently with minimal oversight.
- Experience with customer-facing APIs or workflow systems is a plus.
- Knowledge in security or infrastructure domains.
