Base Salary
$79k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement UI components for charting, forms, mapping controls, smart mapping, data management, and analysis tools.
- Ensure components meet accessibility, internationalization, and localization requirements.
- Lead public API design and documentation and advise on software architecture and engineering.
- Promote software engineering practices including test automation, modularization, and simplification.
- Maintain the build process, test automation infrastructure, and custom tooling.
- Interact with users to identify and articulate their needs and research current UX practices.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of practical software development experience.
- Excellent programming skills in a modern programming language.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and Web Components.
- Strong software design and architecture background.
- Excellent creative thinking and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent releases.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field.
- Preferred: master’s degree, virtual DOM or reactive UI experience, CSS post-processing, accessibility, internationalization, API design, and familiarity with GIS applications and technologies.
