Responsibilities
- Implement and operationalize QA architectures across mobile, web, backend/API, IoT, and connected-device platforms.
- Translate reference architectures and QA Center of Excellence patterns into adoptable frameworks and tooling.
- Evaluate, configure, and roll out testing frameworks, tools, device farms, and test platforms.
- Build and maintain mobile automation using Flutter testing tools, Appium, and Java, including functional, compatibility, accessibility, offline, deep-link, and performance testing.
- Build and maintain web automation with Playwright and BrowserStack, including cross-browser, accessibility, responsive-design, parallel, and visual-regression testing.
- Implement backend and API functional, contract, integration, data-validation, performance, load, resilience, database, message-queue, and event-driven testing.
- Implement QA solutions for IoT and connected devices, including firmware/software integration, connectivity, provisioning, emulator, simulator, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Drive AI-assisted test generation, self-healing locators, visual regression, intelligent test selection, LLM-based workflows, and evaluation guardrails.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and partner with DevOps and Platform Engineering teams.
- Document frameworks and patterns, track quality engineering KPIs, participate in architecture reviews, mentor QA engineers, and support enablement sessions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, including at least 3+ years in QA architecture or a senior technical lead role.
- Experience implementing automation frameworks across at least two of mobile, web, backend/API, and IoT/connected-device domains.
- Hands-on experience with Appium and Java for mobile test automation and with Flutter testing, including flutter_test, integration_test, and widget testing.
- Experience with Playwright, BrowserStack App Automate or Automate, Karate Framework, and Gatling.
- Familiarity with IoT or embedded-systems testing, MQTT, BLE, device integration testing, or related connectivity protocols.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Fastlane.
- Hands-on experience applying AI/ML tools or LLM-assisted workflows in a QA context.
- Proficiency in Java and Dart, plus familiarity with Python, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Knowledge of Agile/SAFe delivery methodologies and quality engineering practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present technical documentation to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes travel, hospitality, e-commerce, or consumer-facing applications; Firebase Performance, Datadog, New Relic, k6, Applitools Eyes, or Percy; OWASP Mobile Top 10, OWASP Web Top 10, static or dynamic analysis; HIL testing; device-farm management; app-store deployment; QA Center of Excellence models; and ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification.
