Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teammates to define acceptance criteria and testing requirements.
- Analyze requirements and technical specifications and design functional and end-to-end test scenarios for Android applications.
- Build, modify, and maintain automated test frameworks and regression, deployment, performance, and continuous delivery tests.
- Construct and maintain automated test reporting infrastructure for technical, project, and business visibility.
- Integrate test automation and testing controls into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and support release management.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to continuous improvement, and promote a shift-left testing mindset.
- Investigate test failures and automation build issues using debugging and root-cause analysis while owning automated test suite reliability.
Requirements
- At least four years of total professional experience, including three or more years in software testing and test automation for mobile and/or API-based solutions.
- At least three years of experience working on Agile teams.
- Hands-on experience with Android mobile test automation using Appium and Java.
- Experience with the Page Object Model, RESTful API testing, SQL, version control, Git flow, test planning, defect management, project tracking, reporting, and CI/CD or release management integration.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence, plus test case management tools such as QMetry, Zephyr, or similar.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude for QA activities.
- Bachelor’s degree, physical Android device and emulator testing, GitHub Actions or similar platforms, Jenkins or Maven, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, Linux, SSH, shell scripting, performance or load testing tools, and TMAP or ISTQB certification are desired qualifications.
