Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Agile team members to define story acceptance criteria and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Analyze requirements and technical specifications to create functional and end-to-end testing requirements for Android applications.
- Design, build, execute, and maintain automated tests and automation frameworks using Java and Appium.
- Apply Page Object Model and hybrid testing frameworks to support test automation and CI/CD integration.
- Create and maintain automated test reporting infrastructure for technical, project, and business visibility.
- Create, execute, and integrate performance and regression tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Partner with developers, product owners, and QA teammates across the full software development lifecycle.
- Support continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, shift-left testing, and reliability of automated test suites.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of total professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing and test automation for mobile and/or API-based solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience working on Agile teams.
- Hands-on Android mobile test automation experience using Appium and Java.
- Experience with Page Object Model test automation frameworks and RESTful API testing.
- Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence, and test case management tools such as QMetry or Zephyr.
- Experience with SQL and one or more of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL.
- Experience with source control systems, Git flow, requirements gathering, test planning, defect management, project tracking, reporting, CI/CD integration, and release management.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude for QA activities.
- A bachelor’s degree is desired.
- Experience with physical Android devices and emulators, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms, Jenkins or Maven, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure, Linux, SSH, shell scripting, and performance or load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6 is desired.
- TMAP and/or ISTQB certification is desired.
