Base Salary
$196k - $266k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build internal AI systems end to end, from initial design through production.
- Own retrieval quality, permissions, security, and reliability for trustworthy AI at company scale.
- Work hands-on with LLMs, retrieval, agents, and integrations.
- Embed with teams and function leaders to ship AI into real workflows and leave behind durable systems and owners.
- Lead build-versus-buy evaluations and rapidly develop, assess, and discontinue proofs of concept.
- Work directly with executive leadership to shape how the company operates and makes decisions through AI.
Requirements
- Track record of building production systems at Staff+ scope, including data infrastructure, retrieval, or applied AI used daily by hundreds to thousands of people.
- Hands-on depth with the modern AI stack and experience learning from AI system failures.
- Pragmatic technology judgment and the ability to justify technology choices.
- Founding-engineer, consulting, or forward-deployed experience with ownership of outcomes in other teams’ domains.
- Daily experience working with AI tools and agents as systems to build with and for.
- Ability to ship quickly while maintaining trustworthy technical standards and communicate effectively with executive leadership.

- Minimum annual base salary of $196,300, midpoint of $230,900, and maximum of $265,600.
