Responsibilities
- Develop strategies, processes, and best practices to reduce technical debt, improve data quality, and increase observability and reliability.
- Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies, cloud platforms, and third-party products.
- Lead and participate in architectural discussions and influence technology decisions within and outside the team.
- Perform peer code reviews and evaluate application performance, security, and scalability against architecture standards.
- Mentor engineers and leaders and provide technical leadership by example.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, release and sprint planning, demos, and scrum-of-scrums meetings.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in IT consulting or a related field with a strong focus on solution architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience migrating, developing, or architecting cloud solutions; Snowflake and AWS experience is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and related technologies including Git, Bitbucket, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and a strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
- Experience working in an Agile team and environment.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Technology support operations exposure and financial services industry knowledge are preferred.
