Responsibilities

Develop Scala web services to enhance user experience and geospatial workflows.
Design and prototype technical solutions following industry-standard practices.
Contribute to team code reviews and write unit tests to ensure code quality.
Implement functionality in other areas of the product using languages like C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
Participate actively in agile development processes including design reviews and planning.
Support deployment team with AWS deployment activities for the SaaS offering.

5+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
Experience developing software components using Java or Scala.
Strong understanding of REST web service design and development.
Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and best practices.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively across different technical skillsets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
