Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver high-quality scalable backend software solutions.
- Develop and maintain distributed backend services for the Quantexa Platform.
- Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, including implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers across the business on innovative product solutions.
- Apply software engineering fundamentals related to testing, maintainability, and performance.
- Continue developing technical skills in Scala, functional programming, and large-scale distributed systems.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience developing scalable backend applications using Scala, Java, or similar JVM languages.
- Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including testing, maintainability, and performance.
- Experience working collaboratively as part of an engineering team.
- Experience contributing across implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Interest in learning Scala and functional programming concepts, or experience applying similar principles in other modern backend languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning and development.
