Base Salary
$166k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and tune customer and channel-partner deployments end to end, including API integrations, third-party data integrations, SDKs, and latency constraints.
- Write production code across TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Python, Django, Node.js, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and AWS.
- Serve as Alloy’s technical voice with customer engineering leadership and make architectural decisions in real time.
- Own the engineering track of quarterly business reviews for assigned accounts and participate in their on-call escalation path.
- Convert deployment work into reusable platform primitives and documentation to accelerate future implementations.
- Define the operating model and practices for Alloy’s new Forward Deployed Engineering function.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing production-ready software and delivering robust, scalable solutions.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineering or technically deep solutions engineering with ownership of external stakeholder outcomes.
- Strong backend and API fluency, including the ability to read and write production code across unfamiliar services.
- Sound architectural judgment and the ability to make and defend technical decisions under ambiguity with customers present.
- Genuine interest in customer-facing technical problem solving.
- Clear technical communication skills for explaining complex integration tradeoffs to engineering and product stakeholders.
- Preferred familiarity with identity, fraud, KYC/KYB, or financial services infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with SDK development or embedded front-end integrations.
- Experience at a company with a strong Forward Deployed Engineering culture is a plus.
