Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical partner to Tech Partnerships, BD, and Sales teams for strategic technology partnerships in Greater China.
- Lead technical discovery, end-to-end solution architecture, architecture governance, due diligence, risk mitigation, and delivery excellence.
- Design and develop prototypes, proofs of concept, and reference implementations with partner technical teams.
- Translate AI, agentic commerce, payment, and emerging technology developments into scalable commercial solutions.
- Engage senior technical decision-makers, product leaders, and engineering stakeholders through presentations, whiteboarding, and architecture discussions.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Value Added Services, and AI teams to align roadmaps and technical resources.
- Establish reusable architecture patterns, technical assets, best practices, and delivery standards.
- Mentor architects, engineers, and technical stakeholders through coaching and technical influence.
- Help shape Visa’s regional solution architecture capability and technical partnership strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- 12+ years of professional experience, including significant experience in solution architecture, platform architecture, technical consulting, cloud architecture, or customer-facing technical leadership.
- Deep expertise in AI ecosystems, agentic AI application development, and modern cloud architecture.
- Proven experience partnering with Sales, Business Development, and Product organizations to drive strategic engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver end-to-end architectures integrating platforms, partner applications, and emerging technologies.
- Hands-on experience building prototypes, proofs of concept, or reference implementations.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives through influence, collaboration, and technical credibility.
- Experience mentoring architects, engineers, or solution consultants and establishing technical best practices.
- Excellent presentation, communication, stakeholder management, and whiteboarding skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Preferred experience with LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, RAG, MCP, tool calling, or agentic application architectures.
- Preferred familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Volcengine, or Tencent Cloud.
- Preferred experience with payment technologies, digital commerce, APIs, SDKs, developer platforms, and partner-facing technical solutions.
- Knowledge of China’s digital ecosystem and experience with large-scale internet platforms, cloud providers, AI companies, FinTech, or digital commerce organizations is advantageous.
- Experience leading small technical teams, technical communities, or architecture practices is a plus.
