Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and low-level design of core Change Management platform services.
- Establish integration tests and guardrails to preserve API contract stability and prevent breaking changes.
- Design and implement scalable, modular, secure services and infrastructure.
- Participate in design reviews, cross-team interlocks, incident retrospectives, and reliability initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
- Develop, test, deploy, and operate production code.
- Integrate agentic workflows into backend and frontend services.
Requirements
- Require 8+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production platform or infrastructure services at scale.
- Require deep expertise in a modern backend stack, with Go preferred, and resilient distributed systems and APIs.
- Require deep expertise in frontend technologies, with React preferred.
- Require experience with platform integrations, API contracts, versioning, and backward compatibility across multiple teams.
- Require hands-on experience with CI/CD, progressive delivery, Argo CD, canary or blue-green rollouts, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Require operational excellence experience including observability, on-call work, incident response, and reliability improvement.
- Require demonstrated technical leadership, cross-team alignment, influence without authority, design leadership, and mentorship.
- Require excellent written and verbal communication and sound judgment balancing delivery speed with long-term platform health.
Benefits
- The position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits under applicable plans and programs.
- The expected base pay range is $202,500–$274,000 annually for Mountain View.
- Work location is Mountain View, as specified for the posted pay range.
