Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of internal applications and services.
- Balance hands-on coding with architectural leadership and drive technical decisions across projects.
- Own shipped features end to end, from problem definition through release and post-release iteration.
- Gather requirements directly from users through interviews, usability sessions, or primary engineering partnership.
- Mentor engineers, review contributions, and help establish stronger engineering practices.
- Drive broadly adopted improvements to developer or employee productivity through tooling, automation, or process changes.
- Collaborate with users, cross-functional partners, and leaders across Apple.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Expertise in one or more modern programming languages such as Swift, Rust, TypeScript, or Go.
- Track record of owning and shipping features end to end.
- Regular use of agentic AI coding tools, with the ability to review, verify, and debug generated code and assess workflow effectiveness.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and technologies.
- Preferred: experience establishing engineering standards, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and coaching teams to sustain them.
- Preferred: strong proficiency with Apple frameworks and development workflows.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern observability tooling and approaches such as OpenTelemetry.
