Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web scraping applications using Puppeteer, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Build API integration services that retrieve and process data from third-party systems.
- Develop automated workflows for scheduling, monitoring, validation, and error handling of data ingestion processes.
- Design and implement scalable microservices, backend services, and APIs for data collection and routing.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational tooling to maintain service availability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders on technical solutions, code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience building production-grade backend applications, integration systems, or distributed services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including web scraping solutions using Puppeteer, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, integration patterns, microservices architecture, service communication, containerization, and deployment patterns.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience with automated workflows, scheduling systems, reliable integration pipelines, databases, and data processing systems.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms, rate limiting, API security, and error-handling strategies.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability for at least 2 hours of overlap with Pacific Time or 4–5 hours of overlap with India Standard Time.
- Preferred experience with JSON, XML, CSV, third-party APIs, Terraform, CloudFormation, workflow orchestration, automation tools, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or healthcare and regulated data environments.
