Intern - Integrating GenAI into TEM Life-Science Applications

- Extend existing on-premises GenAI LLM solutions to build chat agents for life-science applications with secure guardrails.
- Transfer an existing proof of concept to the MSD R&D environment.
- Explore and improve GenAI pipeline evaluation methods.
- Evaluate third-party large language models using synthetic data and feedback from application specialists.
- Identify ways to reduce response hallucinations.
- Improve retrieval response times, including profiling Docgraph to improve dilation performance.
- Improve inference response times and evaluate existing guardrail implementations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Experience with GenAI technologies and on-premises LLMs is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- An ambitious, learning-oriented attitude with a passion for innovation.
