Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize secure, scalable, production-grade full-stack web applications.
  • Implement authentication and authorization workflows, including SSO and enterprise identity-provider integrations.
  • Gather and analyze requirements with business stakeholders and collaborate with scientists, administrators, and IT teams.
  • Document application architectures, designs, code, technical processes, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform and web application issues across multiple environments.
  • Monitor and optimize platform performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Manage enterprise platform operations, including applications, servers, storage, and networked services.
  • Support security hardening, vulnerability remediation, platform upgrades, migrations, and patch management.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead projects, manage stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables, and provide technical guidance to developers.
  • Establish web application development standards and best practices and recommend improvements based on emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in modern full-stack web development.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web application development frameworks, and modern web application architecture and design patterns.
  • Backend and frontend development experience; familiarity with Linux, React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte, with PHP as a plus.
  • Extensive experience building and working with relational databases, including database design and development.
  • Experience with cloud-based web application development.
  • Experience integrating and customizing modern content management systems; Drupal experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control, code reviews, monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and automated deployment practices.
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies, problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to lead projects, manage deadlines and deliverables, document technical work, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to other developers and stay current with emerging web development technologies.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay of $45.17–$65.74.
  • Temporary employee position with a day shift and 40-hour-per-week role expectation.
