Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own complex technical initiatives end to end, from problem definition and requirements through architecture, implementation, and delivery.
- Design and implement modern, cloud-native systems that enable the iManage Work platform to scale.
- Collaborate with product management, design, research, and cross-functional engineering teams to shape product and technical direction.
- Apply AI coding tools thoughtfully and remain accountable for the quality of shipped work.
- Communicate, document, and present technical concepts to technical and business audiences.
- Guide and mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and establish engineering patterns and practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of complex technical initiatives delivered independently with minimal oversight.
- Hands-on production experience with Java, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-native systems at scale, with Azure preferred.
- Ability to evaluate architectural patterns for specific scenarios and clearly articulate their benefits.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools and explaining and supporting shipped implementations.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity, take ownership across multiple areas, and adapt to changing priorities; consulting or startup experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL database systems.
- Experience with Linux as a development and runtime environment.
- Knowledge of secure coding and design practices, including threat modeling, is a plus.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and build management; Docker and Kubernetes experience is a plus.
