Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for revenue workflows, payment logic, invoicing pipelines, and financial reporting.
- Build APIs and full-stack features using Node.js, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and type-safe ORM tooling.
- Own integrations with internal systems, external providers, banks, and payment processors.
- Implement financial logic for contingent payments, commissions, and milestone-based billing.
- Build and deploy AWS infrastructure using Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, SQS, and EventBridge.
- Implement CI/CD workflows, monitoring, instrumentation, alerting, and fault-tolerant architecture.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and finance stakeholders to deliver end-to-end features.
- Translate financial and contractual rules into deterministic, reusable service logic while driving quality, automation, performance, compliance, and accuracy.
- Integrate Claude-based AI/LLM capabilities and use Cursor to accelerate development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend or full-stack development.
- Production experience with a TypeScript-native ORM such as Drizzle or Prisma, including schema migrations, relations, and query optimization.
- Deep production experience with Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM.
- Familiarity with event-driven systems such as Kafka or SQS, API integrations, and microservice patterns.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, transaction workflows, and secure service architecture.
- Experience working with compliance, auditability, and financially accurate systems.
- Experience with financial systems such as payments, trust accounting, general-ledger integration, or revenue recognition.
- Experience with complex domain platforms such as deal tracking, contingent compensation, or booking systems.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Concur, or related business platforms.
- Experience with serverless architecture and function-as-a-service patterns.
- Familiarity with Anthropic's Claude API, Cursor, LLM integrations, or AI-powered features.
